Ok, I tried it – it sucked, I quit.  Ryan and I left the house at 2:00 am.  We got to the paper depot at 2:30 and folded papers until 3:30.  We left and the lady at the depot who knew the route well drove us around.  Ryan was getting car-sick and I was just starting to feel a little overwhelmed.  I have an MBA and I felt like there was no way I was going to ever learn this – plus, I thought the point of getting an MBA was so that I didn’t have to remember things, and I would manage people who would remember for me!   I felt like I should be like Mr. Hart in 9-5.  I would just be mean, steal other’s ideas and eventually get transferred to Brazil.

It was cold, dark, and I smell poor.  I know – I AM poor…  But… Something about this…  Ok, the real story is – it really did suck, but Ryan realized he would get next to no time with his family anymore.  When we first talked about it, it was $1100 split 2 ways – $600 each.  Well…  Then we factored in gas and figured this would cost at LEAST $300 a month.  $150 each takes our share down to $450/month.  Then we have to pay for supplies (bags).  Really?  The paper doesn’t supply bags???  Nope!  As a paperboy (or.. paper person… Or whatever is PC now) you have to buy your own bags…   They are 2 cents each.  Well, we get paid only a few cents per paper, so it really starts to cut in!  So that was going to be about $50/month – $25 each brings us down to $425/month each.  Now we’re looking at more like $100 a week.  Each…  For 7 days a week worth of work?  That $1100 sure whittled down fast when we started to think about it, so we decided $100/week, when it takes average of 3 hours a day (not counting the hell I’m sure Sunday is) it would come out to less than $5/hr…  I mind as well go work at Taco Bell…
