Day 2 – Broken Spirit, YAY!

Posted by jeresk on November 30, 2011 in It's Everybody's Fault I'm Now A Paperboy |

It’s amazing what you remember from just one day of struggles!  So since I did it on my own yesterday, I did it again today – although my trainer said it was most important to learn the houses, so she’s going to do all the apartments – so that helped out tons!  But I was a little faster and started remembering some of the houses.  Maybe this won’t be so bad…  I’m a little worried about Sunday though!  So tips for people just starting out – make sure to have:

  • Car with an amazing heater
  • Car that is good on gas
  • Flashlight or spotlight
  • Easily broken spirit

If you have an unbreakable spirit you will decide this job is beneath you and you’ll quit.  I decided this job was beneath me but that I better just stick it out because I already said yes and now would feel guilty if I stopped for the second time.

If I haven’t said this before, I’m trying to commit to 1 month – in a month I’ll have a few checks and be able to see if this was all worth it.
